Riding in the park
‘I wish there was somewhere really fun and natural I can ride my ATV in that isn't located like halfway across the country', lamented Laura Willington, a 24-year-old ATV enthusiast. Most of us wished that we had our own ATV park right here in the back yard….we know, we wish just about the same thing. But this is something that Mac McCullom's got…an ATV park of his own. McCullom is the owner of River Run ATV which he built on a 2,000 acre land.
It was said that when Mac McCullom bought the land, he never intended for it to be turned into an ATV park. But it was through a random rambling from an employee that got him thinking. Interest in All-Terrain-Vehicles is at an all-time high and youngsters and ‘oldsters' from all walks of life enjoy riding ATV these days…it's kind of like a huge toy that moves around quickly.
Although the prices for ATVs dropped considerably over the years (it used to cost a whole lot more back in the virgin days) and more people can afford to purchase an ATV for recreational purposes. But the problem now would be…where? Where in the world do we take our ATVs to to have some fun with the whole family? Is it possible to find a place that is safe for us to have a ride without having to worry about injuring ourselves or running over kids playing in the park?
And even if we had a place in the back yard that we have completely revamped so that we can ride our ATV there…here's the thing. It's very easy to get bored with ATV track or ATV park if you're riding there day in and day out. We need something fresh…something unique. Once you get used to the ATV park, your mind will start searching for new places to go…better places to ride in.
You're normal….as with Laura Willington (above) who wishes it wasn't so difficult to find a good place to ride her ATV in.
