Among the many words that we can choose to use to describe the ATV trail system of Rampart Range in Colorado , we would like to use simple ‘awesome'. It's one of the most popular public riding areas in all of Colorado and as soon as you take yourself to this fabulous ATV riding area, you'll see for yourself that we are right. Hence, Rampart Range is also one of our favorite ATV riding spots in Colorado . There are hundreds of miles to ride at this ATV trail and they are all very well-marked. As long as you keep your eyes trained on those markers, you should be quite safe. Well, the good thing is that if you are planning a holiday in Denver, you can actually just hop on over to this ATV riding trail for a spin because Rampart Range is only about 20 miles or so away from Denver, so, it's not really too far away from civilization.

Nature lovers are going to fall absolutely in love with what Rampart Range ATV trail has to offer – the Ponderosa Pine, the Douglas Fir, Aspen and the Blue Spruce…totally enchanting. And no matter what time of the year you decide to ride your ATV on this Colorado ATV trail, nature will still greet you in full bloom. Rampart Range offers one of the most spectacular scenery ever because apart from the greens around you, you can look off into the distance and snap pictures of snowcapped mountains afar!

In our opinion beginners should have no problems tackling this Colorado ATV trail at all – on the condition that there are experienced ATV riders in the group with them. Although all the trails are well-marked and are not too difficult to ride on, there are still hills, boulders and mud areas where beginners might need a little assistance. Boulders are scattered throughout the ATV trail – some really huge ones the size of a good van were spotted!

Although most people would spend days on end riding their ATVs along the trails of Rampart Range Colorado and would often bring their own food to eat along the way, we do recommend that you stop by at Sprucewood Restaurant for a quick bite. They serve excellent food and there's always a chance for you make new friends there. When we were there, we saw a lot of ATV riders there stopping by for drinks, snacks and just a little bit or R and R before zooming off on their ATVs. Friendly folks there, we have to say. In fact, many of them ride other types of vehicles like motorcycles, horses and bicycles as well…not just ATVs. Rampart Range ATV trail of Colorado is open to all types of vehicles except for full-sized four wheel drives.

There are nearby accommodation but since the ATV park already have campsites available, we do recommend hanging out with nature for a bit. And besides, nothing beats a place to stay, water and toilets to use…for free, folks.
