Michelle Reiser – from Prissy to Pristine on an ATV
Ok, we've been dealing a lot about men on ATV and how well they dominate the ATV racing scene…and the girls, they're sitting there in their short skirts right beside the ATVs and the ATV riders….looking fine. Michelle Reiser is not one of them. Apparently, many of her friends and family claimed that they thought Michelle was too prissy to race an ATV but when they signed her up for an ATV race quite suddenly, Michelle took on the challenge. She didn't win. And she didn't like racing an ATV but what happened was she continued to work hard to prove those who signed her up wrong. In the end, Michelle Reiser, decided that ATV racing was her thing after all. Forget about make-up, jewelry, shoes, handbags and earrings…hand her the screwdriver! Michelle Reiser will be in her sixth year of ATV racing and these past few years have been relative good to her, if not a little frustrating. The women ATV racing scene have always been dominated by two women…Heather Byrd and Angela Butler Moore, so, you can't blame Michelle Reiser for wanted to get on top of her ATV racing game and get ahead of these two women. Heather Byrd and Angela Butler Moore has been dominating the women's ATV racing scene for the longest time and no strong competition have ever emerged to challenge their powerful ATV racing skills….well, until now. In 2006, Michelle Reiser spent a year of feverish planning and training and the result is that she gave the women a run for their money. she has been taking the third podium space a lot in the Women's A Class in Motocross and it was well worth it. Five years….and she's standing there with the best of them. Although she claimed that she didn't like ATV racing at all when she first started out, this gutsy lady finished her first season (2002) eight in women's class 91-250cc class. Quite a mean feat for a prissy person who claims that she doesn't like ATV racing at all. And she went on to achieve even more when she was factory backed by Yamaha! So, Michelle Reiser is now the official Yamaha sponsored women's ATV racer who will racing the YFZ450 and is competing in the Women's 4 Stroke Production Class. It looks like Michelle Resier is truly going places because Yamaha is only one of the many big sponsors for the ATV racing career. Other sponsors for Michelle Reiser includes Shift, Maxxis, Douglas Wheeles and RPM . We think that the thing that attracts the fans and the sponsors is the fact that although she doesn't look like your conventional ATV racer, she's got guts! For example, when others told her that she couldn't do the GNCC racing, she felt motivated instead of insulted. She went all out of her way to perform better than she ever did before! And that, folks, is what differentiates a winner from a loser in an ATV race.
