Kids love Kymco ATVs
As far as ATVs are concerned, the market is saturated with all the Polaris-es, the Kazuma-s, the Cam-Am-s…..but for year 2007, let's take a good long look at what we have available apart from the above ATV brands. And since we're looking east as far as cheap and reliable ATVs are concerned, keep that direction but aim at another ATV-producing country….Taiwan.
By far, the largest ATV and scooter manufacturer in Taiwan is still Kymco and they have been doing considerably well over the years despite tough challenge from large ATV manufacturers and small (and cheap ATV producers) located within the same region. China is not the only country producing top-of-the-line ATVs, so, perhaps we should take a look at what Taiwan can do for us ATV fans?
Kymco's Mongoose 50 ATV good for kids
The most important factor to take into consideration when buying ATVs for kids is whether they're safe or not. Don't even think about buying a cheap ATV you found off the Internet from an unreliable source. Let's face it, if you're familiar enough with the mechanics of an ATV, you can probably knock an ATV up in a couple of days using cheap ATV parts! So, don't take the risk…especially where kids are concerned. It's not worth it!
So, here we are, checking Kymco's Mongoose 50s ATV out…and we think it's mighty impressive. And they come comparatively cheaper too! Right now, Mongoose 50's going price is about $1,699 whereas Yamaha Raptor goes for nothing less than $2,199 (a huge $500 difference there).

Of course, they can say all they want about how they don't compromise on the quality of their ATVs and how they use only top quality ATV parts for all the ATVs that they sell….blah blah blah. All talk and no action is nothing. Action, however, we took on behalf of you and your whole family. We decided to check out Kymco's Mongoose 50 4T ourselves to see if they walk the talk. For the test, we brought along a son of our colleague's, a kid all of his strutting 9 years and his verdict was “ Dad, can I take this home with me ?”

Kymco backs its products up with a full year's warranty and have addressed all issued that normal parents are concerned about in an ATV. The Mongoose 50 4T is perfect for beginners because it comes complete with safety features like a stock engine's cut-off lanyard, speed limiter and standard throttle. This ATV gives control to the parents and should they decide that their child is ready for a faster ATV, the speed limiter can be adjusted accordingly. Since it's cheaper than others we've seen, it wins brownie points.
So, our verdict is : Kymco Rocks.
