Sometimes when you read about how non-ATV fans obsess over or protest over the existence of an ATV trail or ATV track with unreasonable claim, do you feel your blood boil? Well, while the non-ATV fans have every right to believe that they deserve a peaceful, dust-free, ATV-free and serene neighborhood, having an ATV track around the neighborhood isn't always a bad thing.

For example, the folks over at San Diego County Estates want Barona Oaks Raceway off-road track removed to another place stating many reasons behind their objection towards the ATV track. San Diego County Estates is located near an Indian Reservation where Barona Oaks Raceway off-road track is located. Many of the residents claim that the ATV track produces unreasonable level of sound, bring in a rowdy crowd and the events that they hold at the ATV track is disrupting the peacefulness of the neighborhood. In fact, some of the residents say that having the ATV track there pose a danger to the safety of the residents.

SUPER COOL DEALS OUR CUSTOMERS LOVED!

Their claim and complaint may come off as a little peculiar since the ATV track was already there before the houses were even built. Accordingly, some of them thought that at the time they moved in or bought properties there, the ATV track was mainly populated and used by owners of mini bikes and not ATVs and other large off-road vehicles. The residents also dislike the idea that there are track events there almost every weekend. During such ATV events, the powerful sound system causes noise uninvited noise pollution and there are sometimes fire rings being lit up there….hence, the concern about safety and peacefulness.

On top of that, the residents believe that the exhaust fumes rising from all those ATV riding activities is polluting their yards and give rise to health risk when residents breathe in the toxic fumes. The ATV track is said to have caused a drop in the value of the houses there. A request to pursue violation of laws has been accessed and the residents want representatives from the Air Pollution Control District to come into the picture to aid them in getting the ATV removed.

But during a meeting among all parties concerned, ATV riders (some from other counties who frequent and appreciates the existence of this ATV track) have come to defend Barona Raceway ATV track stating that the ATV track has been there much longer than the homes, hence, the residents should have taken the track into consideration before purchasing it instead of trying to get the ATV track removed now. Besides, the ATV fans feel that Barona Oaks is one of the few ATV tracks available in San Diego County – even that, the ATV track's location is out of the way and in no way at all illegally near the homes of those residents.

Currently in discussion on how to remove the ATV track if this was to be done. One resident suggested that the residents pool some money toward removing the ATV track to somewhere nearby where there's a mountain in between. This way, the noise and fumes will be blocked by the mountain.

Not a bad idea, after all. Hopefully everything works out for the ATV track and residents because although we do feel for the residents, as TV enthusiasts, we feel that there must be a compromise of sorts. All the best to Barona Oaks Raceway off-road track.
