Finding his Ballance

Discuss it>>

If there was any one person who has been on a lucky streak this year, it has to be Bill Ballance. Bill Ballance is rides for Yamaha. He has been so good this whole entire year that it is almost like clockwork. Race…win…race..win. some may have come to expect Bill Ballance on the podium after every race. So, yes, the pressure is, indeed, on.

He has been winning the Suzuki Grand National Cross Country series so often and with such style, grace and ease that ATV fans may start to ask, “Is it just him…or is it the ATV that he's riding that is in such superb shape?” The wins are too robotic even for someone like Bill Ballance who is born with natural talent in ATV racing. Some drew similarities between Michael Schumacher of F1's winning streak all throughout 2004 and 2005 – it's like you'd EXPECT him to win. If he doesn't, something is wrong.

Right now, Ballance is tied in the number of wins with Barry Hawk….seven in a row! Is he surprised? Shocked? Bill Ballance said that even HE was caught off guard with his consistent wins. He would catch himself thinking back to the times when he was a kid and wondering if riding ATV was his calling at all. There was a time when he got interested in ATVs and wondered if this is what his life would be about. Now, there's no question about it.

On his ATV, Ballance has bagged six wins and took to the podium 11 times this year alone! A magnificent feat for this 30-year-old ATV racer.

Is it because the competition is less now? Definitely not! In the last few years alone, ATV racing has grown by leaps and bounds. Not only are more people aware of and are interested in ATV racing, many more are embracing ATV riding as a fun family activity. This helped increase the competition in each of the ATV races. And each time the level of competition stepped up, so does Ballance. There are many more talented ATV racers now than before but Ballance does not sit on his laurels and wait to be beaten. He continues to improve himself and performing even better race after race.

In every sense of the word, he's found the Ballance for life and he's reveling in the result of his hard work.
