Dustin Wimmer proves to be a ‘Winner' where ATVs are concerned
How many nineteen-year-olds do you know who rubs shoulders with big name ATV stars, consistency earns a place on the podium after each ATV race and spends his time being covered by some of the best TV and magazines in the world? Not many, that would be our guess unless you're a reporter or newscaster who is assigned the task of hunting down big gun ATV stars. The ATV winner who is, in our opinion, one of the biggest and fastest-rising ATV racer today is none other than Dustin Wimmer who was signed on for 2007 by Team Suzuki Yoshimura. For 2007, ATV rocket Dustin Wimmer will be partnering with another hot ATV racer, Doug Gust, who dominated the ATV racing scene throughout 2006 with Dustin Wimmer tailing closely behind. Despite Dustin Wimmer's extraordinary achievements, he is just an ordinary teenager who is approaching adulthood at breakneck speed – the same way he races his ATV. Having been racing half his life, it's of no surprise at all that he is touted to be one of the best ATV racer in the world in a couple of years time. As young as Dustin Wimmer is, he still poses a consistent threat to other big names in the ATV racing scene. Dustin Wimmer has an extremely impressive amateur career before he got into the ATV Pro racing scene. With a new team behind him for this year, Dustin Wimmer is confident that he will do much better for 2007 and part of the reason is also because he hired a new trainer Dr. David Reise and Fairon Dukes. The hard training and strategy seems to be working for Dustin Wimmer as he feels that the new training is paying off. It's ironic that he ended up with Suzuki Yoshimura team and having to team up with Doug Gust this season because it was only a couple of months back that he had to battle it all out during a race with Doug Gust, each vying for the same spot tailgating and passing each other towards the finishing line. It was an amazing race that Dustin Wimmer will remember for a long time to come. It must feel really great to team up with an amazing ATV racer like Doug Gust. Dustin Wimmer has his parents and friends for having given him support when he made his decision to start racing ATV professionally. His parents, he says, are really excited about his career choice and he can't thank them enough for the kind of sacrifices and changes to their lives they've made, the support they consistently offer and the commitment they have shown to his ATV racing career. So, Suzuki team can definitely expect more wins this year since they have two of the best ATV racers from the WPSA series with them. And for us ATV enthusiasts, we can't wait to see the kind of action they will show us.
