And the winner is...
Polaris CEO, Tom Tiller, earlier issued challenge. Talk is cheap, action is King, in the eyes of Tiller, and hence, he rose to the occasion and issued a one-sided challenge to all CEOs of Polaris ATV's competitors. The CEOs were invited to engage in a head-on ATV challenge to prove that Polaris ATVs are designed BY ATV fans for ATV fans. Their motto has always been the fact that they deliver the best ATVs because they know and love ATVs as much as their customers do. With this in mind, Tom Tiller wanted to see if the other blue-collared, striped-tied CEOs could claim the same.
Well, the result is out…apparently not. None of Polaris' competitor CEOs responded to his challenge. Some responded by declining, others simply ignored the invitation. It's not surprise, after all, because they knew Tom Tiller knew ATVs. They knew Polaris had a CEO who knew HIS ATV. And if they did respond in the positive, it would have been embarrassing for the competitor if they lost.
Tiller first stated that the deadline for a response toward his challenge was Oct 20 th . But because no one responded, Tiller extended his deadline for a further four days. Yet, no one responded. Therefore, by Oct 24 th , Tom Tiller, the CEO of Polaris, world-renowned ATV manufacturer, is announced to be the winner of ‘The Duel' uncontested. It was no fun been a winner without having competitors, though. Tiller expressed his disappointment that most of the CEOs of other competing ATV manufacturer companies refused to accept his challenge. This, however, he says proves that only one company in the world delivers the toughest ATVs in the world. Polaris . By virtue of the fact that the highest level of management knew ATVs inside out, it proves that the extent of expectation he has of his staff is irrefutably high as well.
Tiller expressed his gratitude to those who helped spread the word and to those who anticipated the duel; and he apologizes to ATV fans that were looking forward to the Duel. However, all's not lost because Tiller will be donating $10,000 to a charitable organization (to be named later) and ATV enthusiasts can join in the celebration by logging onto www.polarisduel.com .
